| Ahh. Just finished updating my site w/ a spiffy flash player for my
mixes. This way, everyone won't have to download the mixes to listen to
them or rely on a default media player to load the files.
As far as DJ'ing goes, I haven't been doing much for the last couple
weeks. Got my xbox 360 and I've been on that whenever I'm not working,
eating or sleeping. My new years resolution is to put that shit away
though, and concentrate on my art. Plus I gotta get my act together for
a possible gig at Express...clothing store...kinda lame, i know, but
they'll pay me $500 for a 5 hour gig if I get booked on one. My jaw
dropped when they told me that. I can't freakin wait.
My second new years resolution is to find a regular gig at a club or
lounge in DC. Once I start holding down a job, more'll start coming.
Then I can get back to doing what I love. Rockin the club.

| Damn...its been a while. Got a new day job that's killin my DJ
career and moved down to DC. Lots changed. That Dr. Sample toy i
was psyched about...haven't touched it since january. So gotta start
from square one again and find a residency somewhere. First off,
I finally put up this site, so check it out, listen to the mixes,
tell ur friends, tell ur friends to tell their friends, tell ur
friend's friends to tell the promoters and get me a job! |

I finally published my website. Woooooo! I was having problems,
because I couldn’t get my modem to forward requests to my
server. I think its probably been disabled which is why I couldn’t
do it. Anyways, its finally up, and you’re finally reading!

I played a little with Dr. Sample today too. I’m gonna
do some crazy shit with this thing. I can grab a 16 bar sample
off the playing track, loop it a the end, then mix in the next
track and play the 16 bars anyway I want. If I grab a vocal, or
a phrase, I can loop that and the sampler pretty much gives me
a third channel. I just need to get that extra memory card so
I can record as much as I want. I’m working on using Dr.
Sample for my next mix. Its gonna be something real hard hitting,
so be on the look out. |

| I’m getting more and more apathetic these days. Its 10 and
I have time to practice DJing and whatnot…but I don’t
have the motivation. I played quake 3 for god sake. Crazy f’ing
waste of time. Its probably because I’m in limbo. Job is going
alright. DJing is going alright. I’ve hit a wall as far as
my turntable skills go and I’ve gotta map out my goals again.
Figure out what the next step is, the next level… |

| I rocked the raw lounge last night. So fucking tired now. I had
to leave at 8 to be at the lounge and set up by 9. Then I played
the whole night till 2 and didn’t get back till 3. Slept at
3:30 or 4:00. They didn’t have that big of a crowd cuz the
just opened up and I don’t think they’re doing advertising
that well. But I rocked what little people there were in the club.
Everyone had a great time. The bartender came over and told me good
job. A couple customers told me I did well. I'm freakin exhausted.

| I finally found a DJ break. That’s why this entry is a lot
more up beat than the last one. A new restaurant / lounge called
RawLounge
(owned by some Asians named Tony and Jesse) is opening up in Philly
and they’re having me play tomorrow. I went down last wknd
and demo’d for them, because this guy named Huey who’s
the cousin of one of the dudes there scouted me out at a DNA-Nightlife
party. Its gonna be hot. I’ve done a lot of preparation and
I’m gonna try to make my set butter. If this pans out, I’ll
finally have a residency and I’ll be able to really start
this DJ career. Can’t fuck up at all, gotta make this one
count. |
